Every Friday at 11:00 am we welcome Guest speakers who have expertise, passion and incredible knowledge about a multiplicity of themes from current affairs, to artists and authors, to TED Talk conversations, history, life experiences from around the world, to local events and services like our Vancouver Public library Heath Services, chair yoga and so many more.

Vancouver Jewish Folk Choir rehearsal: every Tuesday at 7:30 pm. Conductor: David Millard, accompanist: Elliott Dainow.

The largest, best, and Only Yiddish choir west of Winnipeg, the Vancouver Jewish Folk Choir performs the music of the Jewish people in Yiddish, Hebrew, Ladino and English, as well as other languages of countries where Jews have lived.

The Choir performs for holiday celebrations and special events at the Peretz Centre and in the Jewish and mainstream communities. The Choir welcomes all new members. What better way to spend a Tuesday evening.

Braai on the Beach: Celebrating traditional South African Cuisine. 

The Jewish Museum and Archives of BC invites you to a very special dining event  Join us on the shores of Locarno Beach for a sunset braai (traditional South African Barbecue) to wrap up the summer.  We will be indulging in specialties of the Cape including Boerewors, Miele Pap, and Melktert.
