Volunteer Testimonials

I liked the overall training, especially the role plays. I loved watching my classmates play out the difference scenarios like real life people. The reactions and statements are very common and can happen in any situation, therefore, very helpful in preparing us for the real world.

Volunteer Testimonials

That we covered serious topics such as implicit bias and elder abuse in a professional but informal manner. I also liked interacting with people of so many different ages, backgrounds, and life experiences.

Volunteer Testimonials

I particularly appreciated the interaction and the experience of the trainers. Our trainers had an excellent ability to apply the training to real life examples. Kindness of the staff and knowledge of the presenters.

Volunteer Testimonials

Role playing was the most helpful. The intentional work to establish trust in the group. Content on boundaries (with role play), empathy v. sympathy, setting limits. Facilitators Grace and Miguel were highly skilled/knowledgeable, warm, encouraging, and engaging.

Volunteer Testimonials

I liked the fact that it was interactive and participation in role plays was a necessary part of the training. Role playing while not easy is an effective way to learn. The content was very relevant and covered a comprehensive range of topics.

Volunteer Testimonials

It has been great to see my clients evolving and myself as well. It is hopeful that our presence is helpful to the client, but I hear from from caregivers that it's helping them as well.

Volunteer Testimonials

Volunteer Testimonials

Connecting with my clients as I too needed to connect as I felt isolated.
