Transportation:We charter a bus and provide bus trips each month to various locations in the lower mainland including: Whistler; Museums and many local community attractions
Outreach:
Burnaby Hospital offers Healthy Hearts program for those clients with cardiac issues manage their well-being through exercise therapy
Information & Referral:
Income Tax Assistance workshops are offered each tax season to assist with tax preparation
Education & Workshops:
Financial, Health and Wellness, Collingwood Community Policing Centre offers safety talks and lectures
Physical Wellness:
We offer some aerobics classes geared toward the older adult, yoga in chairs, senior’s line dancing, nature walks & bird watching in Everett- Crowley park and senior’s Tai Chi
Food Security:
Strawberry tea, brown bag bingo, Friday afternoon once a month at the Movies with tea, coffee and light refreshments
Culturally Specific:
Yuan Ji Dance which is a mixture of martial arts, physical therapy, meditation, dance and Tai Chi
Arts Based:
We offer a painting club, knitting club, Write from the Heart: A workshop for memoir writing, birding with Margo and guitar and keyboard lessons.

Transportation: VCH Volunteer Medical Escort Program – volunteers accompany frail clients via HandyDart or taxi to and from medical appointments
Outreach:
home visits for Physiotherapy, Occupational therapy, Case Management, Nursing, referrals to home support services

VCH Caregiver Support Program – caregiver education series, workshops, support groups, telephone support, and information
Peer Support:
VCH Volunteer Program – Neighbourhood Connectors, Wellness Walkers, Leisure Buddies; one to one volunteer visits to clients in home/community setting

Shop by Phone – volunteer-run grocery shopping service for those unable to get out to do their own shopping

numerous, languages spoken by health/service providers and/or will arrange interpretation services as required
