Transportation: Seniors Shuttle – local transportation for seniors in Renfrew Collingwood, by donation on Tuesdays and Fridays
Outreach:
yard and housework provided for seniors for $10/hour in Renfrew Collingwood Cultural Connectors – volunteers who go out in the community and work to engage seniors
Information & Referral:
link seniors looking for services, programs and other supports, C.A.S.I. project is in process of creating resource guide for seniors in Renfrew Collingwood, information in monthly community newspaper
Education & Workshops:
weekly Seniors Wellness Group – mix of educational topics, guest speakers, trips, arts and crafts
Physical Wellness
: Chinese Classical Dance, Pilates, Tai Chi, Yoga, Strength and Stretch, Gentle Fit, Out-trips, Monday Wellness Group
Peer Support:
weekly Coffee & Chat program
Food Security:
Community Lunch program – Tuesday and Thursday 12:00 pm, lunch $4.85, take away options, Food Security initiative – gardening, workshops on food preparation
Culturally Specific:
Cultural Connectors group – large Filipino group and Chinese group meet together weekly to do exercise, practice speaking English, out-trips, cultural celebrations
Language Specific:
ESL – free English classes for newcomers to Canada, Land-Immigrants and government sponsored immigrants may be eligible, childcare provided for children (10 mths-5 yrs.)
Arts Based:
Creative Painting Using Acrylics, Saturdays 10:30 am-12:30 pm; Knitting class
Housing:
outreach workers available twice a week to connect individuals with safe, affordable and suitable housing.

Transportation: VCH Volunteer Medical Escort Program – volunteers accompany frail clients via HandyDart or taxi to and from medical appointments
Outreach:
home visits for Physiotherapy, Occupational therapy, Case Management, Nursing, referrals to home support services
Education
& Workshops:VCH Caregiver Support Program – caregiver education series, workshops, support groups, telephone support, and information
Peer Support:
VCH Volunteer Program – Neighbourhood Connectors, Wellness Walkers, Leisure Buddies; one to one volunteer visits to clients in home/community setting.
Food Security:
Shop by Phone – volunteer-run grocery shopping service for those unable to get out to do their own shopping
Language Specific:
numerous languages spoken by health/service providers and/or will arrange interpretation services as required
Housing:
Subsidized Residential Care and Assisted Living – case manager will determine if eligibility criteria met and make referral
