Join Cynthia Ramsay for an exploration of the history of the Jewish Independent, British Columbia’s Jewish community newspaper, established in 1930. Learn how the paper works to keep the community informed and connected, and join the discussion of what the future of the paper will look like.
Cynthia Ramsay’s Biography:
Cynthia Ramsay is the owner/publisher of the Jewish Independent. In addition, she was the editor of the Jewish Museum and Archives of BC’s annual journal, The Scribe, for more than 10 years. She is a founding board member of JQT (Jewish Queer Trans) Vancouver and is on the board of directors of the Lotte & John Hecht Memorial Foundation. With a master’s in economics, her previous work experience includes being senior health economist at the Fraser Institute.
