Event viewing instructions:

1.  You will see the events of the whole month, in small segments, in the colour of the organization, with the title of the event and the time,
2.  Put your cursor on the event and you will see a small pop-up box with the name of the event, the time and price,
3.  Now left double-click on the event itself: a full -page window will open, with all the information about the event. This window has a white background and black distinctive easy- to- see writing.

Raoul Wallenberg Day: Doctors without Borders, MSF

We invite you to join us for a tribute to Doctors without Borders (Medecins sans Frontieres, MSF), whose members show incredible civil courage in war zones and elsewhere on a daily basis. Dr. Joseph Copeland, a UBC/ BC Children’s Hospital emergency physician with vast field exposure from the Arctic to the tropical regions, will introduce the Nobel Peace Prize-winning organization and share his own experiences from the MSF frontline work. 

Film: Access to the Danger Zone provides a look at the challenges of delivering humanitarian aid in armed conflicts. The film explores the strategies that MSF uses to save lives in the world’s war zones.

JSA’s Empowerment #2: Movie-The Sturgeon Queens

Please join us for the second session in the series to be held with the Jewish Community Centre seniors, 1 p.m. to 2:15, in the Wosk auditorium at the JCC.

Our second empowerment Series features The Sturgeon Queens: The Story of Russ and Daughters. This documentary tells the history of one food store on the Lower East Side of New York that has survived and thrived for 100 years. The film will be followed by a light nosh.
